LSAD STUDENTS AND STAFF OVERWHELM US WITH THEIR LOVELY RESPONSE TO "FAVOURITE LIBRARY BOOK"

During library Week, LSAD Library held a competition to find “Your Favourite LSAD Library Book” we were inundated with entries and overwhelmed by the sheer passion of the responses.
There were 6 lucky winners; Elizabeth Twomey, Paul Campbell, Amy Hanley, Joe Noonan, Kieran Cashell, Darius Pasadar and Amy Taylor. Well done to all and a big thank you to our sponsors: O’Mahonys Bookshop, Curley Copy Centre, Collins Book Supply, Dawsons Book Supply and M-Signs.
Here are a few of our favourite responses. We put together a display board, with all the entries as it made for fascinating reading, so if you’re in the vicinity do have a look, you may be inspired too!
Eyewitness: Padraig & Joan Kennelly's images of Ireland 1953-1973 by Padraig Kennelly
“I love all the images in this book – black and white images of a time gone by…and who could fail to smile at the image on the cover?” Marie Ryan

The Arcades Project by Walter Benjamin
“Labyrinthine, factual, unprecedented, this history of the 19th century is, like its subject, radically incomplete, indescribable and fascinating. I got lost there in 1999 and can, to the attentive reader, still be glimpsed somewhere between pages 542 and 543.” Kieran Cashell

Please Pay Attention Please: Bruce Nauman's Words, Writings and Interviews by B Nauman “This is my favourite book because every time I am in a bad mood or just fed up with what I’m doing or making – Nauman’s comments on Art and Sculpture would encourage anyone to continue their Art-Making.” Michéal Conlon

Graffiti World : Street Art from 5 Continents by Nicholas Ganz
“Amazing” Sam Keehan
